WRITING A GRANT? THE P3 CAN HELP!

P3 Grant Partnerships

Who are we?

The P3 Collaboratory for Pedagogy, Professional Development and Publicly-Engaged Scholarship at Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N) is a comprehensive center for teaching and learning innovation that focuses its efforts around high-impact, research-driven initiatives designed to serve the needs of our university’s most valuable assets, our faculty, students and community.

Our Mission

Established in 2016, the P3 Collaboratory for Pedagogy, Professional Development and Publicly-Engaged Scholarship was conceived to reinforce and advance RU-N’s strategic plan organized around key priorities to produce the change we envisioned, which included:

  • Investing in our students

  • Investing in our faculty, and graduate/professional students

  • Investing in places and spaces

  • Leveraging our diversity and building civic dialogue

Since its inception, The P3 Collaboratory has assisted RU-N faculty members and graduate students in becoming more engaged educators, translating their research for broader audiences and more diverse publics, and implementing classroom and campus interventions that positively impact student success and engender lifelong learning.

How We Can Help

The P3 Collaboratory team has the knowledge and capacity to assist PIs by contributing to education-based grants or grants with the following components:

  • Course design or redesign

  • Creation of new course modules

  • Design of training programs or professional development workshops

  • Broader impact considerations

  • Translating research for K-12 and/or public audiences

  • Training of mentors and mentees

  • Engaging with the public (generally) or Newark and surrounding communities in collaborative research projects

Depending on the degree of commitment, we may request being written into grant budgets, and can provide a letter of collaboration if needed.
