SMARTEACHING Schedule

Rutgers-Newark is an institutional member of the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity(NCFDD). NCFDD is a nationally-recognized faculty development center providing professional development, training, and mentorship opportunities to more than 80,000 members from over 450 colleges and universities in the United States. 

 

As an institutional member, faculty members and academic professionals from all ranks can enroll in a free sub-account membership to get access to the center’s online resources which include workshops, webinars, and seminars on topics related to faculty life, such as increasing writing productivity, prioritizing and managing time, cultivating mentors, securing external funding, and maintaining work-life balance. 

With the support of the Chancellor's Office, faculty members and academic professionals from all ranks can enroll in a FREE individual account to get access to the center’s online resources which include workshops, webinars, and seminars on topics related to faculty life, such as increasing writing productivity, prioritizing and managing time, cultivating mentors, securing external funding, and maintaining work-life balance. 

As an Institutional Member, you have access to the following resources:

  • Dissertation Support

  • The Monday Motivator

  • The NCFDD Core Curriculum trainings

  • Monthly guest expert and multi-week course trainings

  • The full NCFDD library with over 100 hours of professional development training

  • A private discussion forum for peer-mentoring and monthly writing challenges

  • Participation in the 14-Day Writing Challenge each semester

  • Accountability partner matching
